The purpose of this glossary is to provide vocabulary related to the subject of Legislation and Regulations.
- Attribute
- A quality or characteristic of a person or thing, especially something that is an essential part of its nature.
- Example: This car is very slow
- es: Cualidad o característica propia de una persona o una cosa, especialmente algo que es parte esencial de su naturaleza.

- Behavior
- Indicates the behavior of a subject or animal in response to certain external or internal stimuli.
- Example: Talk, laugh, cry, read, eat... all these words have in common that they are verbs. They express action, and they are carried out by something or someone.

- Brand
- Signal that makes it possible to identify or distinguish something or to give some information about it.
- Example: Coca-Cola, a strong, powerful brand with an indisputable identity.

- Chamber of Senators
- This body of the Legislative Branch is composed of 128 male and female senators, 64 of whom are elected by the principle of relative majority, 32 by the principle of first minority and 32 by the principle of proportional representation, by means of a national list. For each senator, an alternate is elected.
- Example: The participation of the Senate, as an organ of control within the State, is a direct consequence of the application of the principle of separation of functions and the concurrence of powers in shaping the will of the State, which is one of the defining elements of the modern democratic State.

- Judicial Power
- It is a power of the State in charge of imparting justice in a society. It is one of the three primary powers and functions of the State, through the application of legal norms and principles in the resolution of conflicts.
- Example: Protection of the rights of persons in conflict.

- Law

- Legislation

- Document issued by an authority accrediting a condition or merit or giving authorization to do something.
- Example: The valentine sauce is a patent of a person from Jalisco and no one else can produce it.

- Property
- It is a direct and immediate power over a thing, which attributes to its holder the capacity to enjoy and dispose of the thing without any limitations other than those established by law.
- Example: Such as your house, land, automobile, animals, jewelry, with no other limitations than those established by law.

- Taxation
- The adjective impositive refers, in its first meaning, to that which imposes (i.e., which obliges or is enforced).
